Dr. Tiznado served as the director of pediatric neurology at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego (1999-2005). He also served as assistant clinical professor of neurosciences and pediatrics, division of pediatric neurology at University of California at San Diego Medical Center. He has been a member of the medical staff at the Childrens Hospital in San Diego since 1991.

Dr. Tiznado served as Director of Pediatric Neurology and Electroencephalography at the Riverside County Regional Medical Center (2006-2010).

Dr. Tiznado is currently Director of Pediatric Neurology at the Children's Outpatient Clinic in El Centro Regional Medical Center (2008-Present) and is President of the Inland Empire Pain Management Corporation in Riverside County since 4/2012.

Dr. Tiznado is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) and belongs to the Child Neurology Society. Dr Tiznado has been re-certified on June 2007 by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology until the year 2017 on the subspecialty of Child and Adolescent Neurology.
